Tour Itinerary

Our English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your Rajshahi hotel at 8 am and start Rajshahi Tour. Your first stop will be Bagha Mosque. Bagha Mosque was built by Sultan Nusrat Shah in 1523 A.D. Bagha Mosque is a richly decorated monument originally roofed over with 10 domes which collapsed long ago. But recently this Mosque rebuilt carefully to their original form.
Next, you'll head to Puthia Temple Complex. Also called "temple city" Puthia is a small village 23 km from Rajashai and contains the most important HIndu structures present in Bangladesh, a true gem still little known by mass tourism. The temples were built, starting from the 16th century, made of brick with a variety of styles. The complex consists of four main temples and two palaces. The first building that the tourist encounters is the Shiva temple, which overlooks the lake Siv-Sagar and represents the typical architecture of northern India to 5 peaks. Unfortunately, the plant decorative and ornamental statues were severely damaged during the War of Liberation in 1971.
The Hindus perform ritual baths are still used in the shores of the lake in the early morning or late at night, making it a place with spirituality still relevant. The Hindu spirituality is also reflected in the other three places of worship, such as the Jagannath temple , of 16th century, smaller in size and built in the shape of hut has a single tapered tower nearly 10 meters high. The west facade of the temple is adorned with terracotta images and geometric shapes.
Do not forget the two temples of Govinda, one larger and one smaller, which face the same water.
The main temple is decorated with intricate designs in terracotta, the style of the oldest temple Kantanagar in Dinajpur. Built by the Queen of Puthia, the temple also houses a number of works of art in terracotta depicting the story of love between Krishna and his consort Radha narrated in the epic Hindu.
Finally, you still have to visit two important buildings. In particular, the Puthia Palace or Royal Palace, built in 1895 by Rani Hemanta Kumari Devi in honour of the mother-in-law Sharat Sundari Devi, a lady benefactress of the area that, for example, built a complex for college students still in use.
Here, you'll discover the authentic craftsmanship in the temples such as Shiva Temple, Dol Mandir and Bara Ahnik Mandir.
After a local restaurant lunch Continue to Natore Royal Palace. Also known Natore Rajbari was a prominent royal palace in Natore. It was the residence and seat of the Rajshahi Raj family of zamindars. Famous queen Rani Bhabani lived here and after the death of her husband expanded both the estate and the palace.
At approximately 6:00 pm, you'll arrive back at your hotel in Rajshahi where the tour will end.
